Welcome to kids First news.  This term the children have been very busy with colours, numbers and shapes. We have had lots of fun finding the right colour or shape around the room. We would like to thank parents for their support by sending children in wearing the right colour, or sending in toys for show and tell.

 

Next term we are thinking about animals. From 3rd until 14th March we will be talking about pets. If you have a pet and would like to bring it in to show, please see a member of staff to arrange this. Photos are also welcomed.  Red nose day is on 14th March. We will be making cakes to sell, we will also be painting noses red with face paints. If your child has skin allergies please inform us before the day. Children can also dress up if they wish.

 

I would like to thank all Parents that helped out on the parent rota, particularly  whist I was off sick.  I would like to ask for your help again. In march I will be going back into hospital  and may be off work for six weeks. If I can stand being at home for that long! We will of    

course look at staff cover for this period. But I’m sure staff would appreciate your help. By law we have to maintain  staffing levels at all times. The minimum staff  requirement  for our group is four, half of which need to have a child care qualification.  Six weeks is a long time to have to cover and puts a strain on the whole group. If  qualified staff levels fall below the minimum requirement, the group would be forced to close for the day. We don’t anticipate this happening , and I know Lynn will work hard to maintain the right levels. But if a bug or something was to take hold., then Lynn would have no choice.  This of course would be a last resort and I anticipate the group running at full strength in my absence Kids First has a good strong team, I know I will be leaving you in safe hands.

 

To make things easier I would appreciate  prompt  payment this term please.

I hope you have a good week off, we return on 24th February. We break up for Easter holidays on 11th April.
