Summer 2002
Text Box: Kids first news
We have been very busy this term looking at our bodies and senses. Thanks to Samuel Morgan and Morgan Simmonds for bringing in their pets for the sense of touch. We also enjoyed the pizza’s for taste week.
Next term we are thinking about people in the community, in particular people who help us. If you think you can help us with this topic please don't be afraid to talk to a member of staff. On 12th June we have a video company in group making helping hands video of the children. If your child does not normally attend on Wednesdays please ask Sandy for more details. This is a fund raiser and money raised will go towards the leavers trip, further details about this will follow shortly.
Talking of fund raisers, the parent fund raising committee have been working very hard. They have raised £1,144 towards our garden project. We started off by thinking about buying a summer house and some seating, but now we are planning to have a safety surface laid. There will be a growing area as well. I think you will agree that it will be great to be able to use the garden even in the winter time when grass would be muddy, and we can use any equipment as the surface is safe. This project is going to cost a huge amount, so we need your help. If you know of any companies that sponsor community projects, then we would like to know. Please support us in our fund raising events, we are all striving to give the children a safe and stimulating environment, where children have freedom to learn and play and have fun.
Jubilee garden party
The party is on 30th May

Donations of food are welcome and the children will be making food in the morning, they will wash their hands so don't worry. The children can dress up if they wish but do not have to, they may want to wear red white and blue instead. The children must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them during the party.
