Choose the policy you want to read

All efforts will be made to provide up to date training opportunities and courses for parents / carers and staff alike, many which will be displayed on the parental notice board. Those that have come forward, as volunteer helpers will be offered additional support and induction training.

New staff members are introduced to existing staff and their roles within group. Procedures on fire drill and a child's personal hygiene needs are explained and reinforced.

Staff and volunteer parents should always be aware of their own safety and the safety of the children within group during the session, ie whilst furniture and large equipment are moved etc.

Details of the sessions plan and requirements / layout of the day will be discussed and their responsibilities within that. The daily sessional routine and activities will also be given. Help and guidance will be given on clearing away and restocking of equipment.

All new and volunteer staff will not be left alone with any child. All new staff must complete and return statutory CRB and Dc2 forms, as required by Ofsted.

All staff are appraised once a year.

Kids first where possible will provide financial assistance for adults to attend training events

All are expected to keep details of the session confidential. If staff or volunteers have a concern about the session this should be discussed with a member of the management team.
