Each Child and his / her family will be allocated keyworker, who's responsibility it will be to assist the Child to settle at Kids First. From the initial introduction the keyworker will liaise with the Parent / Carer to identify any abilities or special needs that the Child may have, and to reassure them of the daily routine of the session.
Assisting then with toileting needs and help at home time with clothing Keyworker observe children on a regular basis (with parental permission, see registration), to assess a child's achievements and developments. From these observations and development charts, keyworkers will identify learning needs priorities and set individual play plans for each of the their children in accordance to the Early Learning Goals. The information is shared with Parents / carers, who are encouraged to contribute to their child's records. In this way we hope to meet all Children individual needs whilst adhering to our confidentiality policy.
Keyworker meet once a month to asses and evaluate play plans and at all times they work under the guidance of the leaders of Kids First and the Senco.
At Kids first Pre-school we strive to ensure that all keyworkers have either experience or First aid training to be able to deal with your child's common medical conditions IE asthma and allergies.
