Staff must show respect for confidentiality at all times.
All staff must notify the group of any foreseen absences, to enable qualified staff ratio to be maintained.
Any unexpected absence due to illness must be reported immediately
All staff (where possible) must attend group at 9.15 am, unless otherwise informed.
It is the duty of all staff present to equip the hall for the day's activities, and ensure provisions and cleaning materials are up to levels.
At all time work as part of a team.
To clear away, clean and replace equipment of the days session.
- It is the duty of all staff and volunteers to ensure the work place is free from hazards, any hazards or defects must be reported immediately.
- All accidents must be reported in the accident book and counter signed.
A no smoking policy operates in this group, this is for the comfort of none smokers and the long-term health of the children in our care.
All staff should be aware of the need to wear protective gloves when dealing with the disposal of any body fluids.
We always have a minimum of 4 staff on duty, at least ½ have a child care qualification. It is our aim for all staff to have a child care qualification. Additional numbers may be made from Parent rota as and when required.
It is the member of staff's responsibility to keep abreast of all policies in the group. (This should be encouraged by all staff involved.)
If a member of staff has a grievance, they should in the first instance seek help and advice from a member of the management team, who will endeavor to resolve any conflict. If the staff member is still not satisfied they can seek help from social services.
All staff have a contract confirming start times and responsibilities. New staff have to complete a probationary period. Wages are paid on a weekly basis for permanent staff and daily for emergency cover.
A P.46 will be completed for tax purposes
