Dropping off & Picking Up

Choose the policy you want to read

Kids first procedure for dropping off  and Picking up is as follows:

The main entrance doors are locked until 9.30 and Parent's / Carer's are responsible for the safety of their children until they enter the insured premises.

Parents have to sign their child into the day book. If a child is to be collected by someone else this must be entered into the day book and the entry signed. If we do not have signed permission to allow a Child to be collected by another person, we can not let them go. Contact telephone numbers can also be left in the day book.

If a child should leave the premises without adult supervision, the grounds will be searched by staff whilst two members of staff will supervise remaining children. If the child is not quickly found within the grounds, the child's carer and police will be called. For security reasons we need children to be dropped off and collected promptly.

Pick up time is 12 o'ck

When Children are collected a Parent / Carer waits outside the main doors and a member of staff calls the Children's names and hands them over to the Parent. Both sets of doors are manned, each child has to pass two adults before handing over to Parent's.

If a child is not collected by 12:30 it will be presumed they have been abandoned, Social services will be contacted and child care arrangements will be made with them. A contact telephone number for social services will be posted on the main door. If a Parent / Carer has a last minute problem that holds them up, please contact the hall on 01708 474138 so staff members are aware of the delay and will hold onto the child.

We know it is not pleasant waiting outside when the weather is bad, but this is for your child's protection and safety. We will make every effort to finish the session on time. Your cooperation in these matters are appreciated
