A Child's safety and well being is the most important aspect of our job and that will always be our first thought. We have taken advice from professional agencies to achieve this aim, and will continue to do so. We also wish to offer help and advice to all Parent/Carer. If we can help in any way please do not hesitate in asking for a private appointment with any one of us.
We will always try to protect your Child from harm whilst in our care. Accidents are from time to time unavoidable. All accidents will be recorded in an accident and medication book. Parents/Carers will be asked to sign the report.
It is vital we are made aware of any cuts or bruises your Child may have before entering the hall, this is to eliminate them from accidents within the Pre-school session. For your Child's safety, staff have to escort all children to the toilet (regardless of gender). Only staff that have signed a CRB disclosure form and authorised by Ofsted will be allowed to escort children to the toilet.
If a member of Staff suspects a Child has been abused, they should inform the child protection officer, (Sandy Warry). We take all allegations of abuse very seriously. We aim to support the Staff member as well as the Child and Parent/ Carer.
The Staff member and leader must telephone Social Services immediately. The leader will support the Staff member throughout. A full report must be made within 24 hours.
If a Child makes an allegation against a member of staff, the leader will record all information given immediately. The leader will then telephone Social Services in the presents of the Parent/Carer. The leader takes allegations very seriously and will investigate the matter. We will endeavor to support the Child, Parent/Carer and Staff member throughout. A full report must be made within 24 hours.
All information will always be treated strictly confidential.
If a Parent/Carer have a complaint and wish to take matters further, they can contact
